Story
What survives when memory becomes data?
Alina is a dancer and survivor of war who arrives in New York with a vow: to ensure the spirits of her late dance troupe members live on rather than fading into oblivion.
Jack, an AI researcher, has been quietly observing Alina for months; he yearns for the genuine emotion she embodies, yet his interest is also driven by the need to gather data for the creation of a synthetic girlfriend.
Standing between them is Drake, a capitalist figure who harvests human memories to fuel the production of AI-driven androids. The system requires something synthetic data cannot provide — physical movements imbued with authentic emotion and the indelible marks of trauma — making Alina a crucial data source for this corporate enterprise.
